Net Reach
Net reach refers to the total number of persons within the target audience exposed to the advertising schedule, often expressed as a percentage.

Nielsen Monitor-Plus¬
Uses advanced data collection technology and information delivery systems to gather, manage, store and distribute information on millions of advertisement from 15 different media. The Monitor-Plus data base, which includes cost estimates, provides customers a comprehensive view of the reach and cost-effectiveness of advertising, as well as a means to evaluate the advertising strategy of key competitors.

Nit, Nits
The measurement of light intensity from a surface, such as a matrix sign. Nit is defined as a luminance unit equal to one candela (one candle) per square meter measured perpendicular to the rays from the source. From the Latin word nitere, meaning "to shine"; nits are used to measure display intensity, or brightness. Nits, when used in conjunction with contrast ratio and viewing angle, determine the quality of the image in the desired application. Appropriate nit measurements are determined with respect to ambient light conditions and the capability of the human eye to absorb different wavelengths of light (color). For instance, in average ambient light conditions, a red LED display may operate acceptably during the day at 3,150 nits, whereas a green LED display in the same conditions would need to be 6,300 nits because they eye reads green light less efficiently than red light. At nighttime and in most indoor applications, because the ambient light conditions are lower, acceptable readability can be achieved with nit levels at approximately 35% of the daytime outdoor nit levels.

Number of Units
The total number of units in a contracted outdoor advertising program. Also reflected by the GRP or TRP level of a program.
